The number of Real Estate Fund – FII investors has grown by more than 1000% since 2017 and are mainly represented by individuals.
This significant increase in participants over the years has increased trading volume and highlighted the growth of the FII market in Brazil.
Real estate investment funds are intended for investment in assets related to the real estate market, both via real estate (known as brick funds) and via securities and bonds (paper funds).
Thus, this growth in investors and negotiations in the sector tends to be an important indicator for the entrepreneur, given that paper funds are a relevant pocket for the acquisition of Real Estate Receivables Certificates (CRI), an instrument commonly used in raising funds for real estate purposes by companies due to its tax benefit to them via IOF exemption.
