The leap of generative AIs and their potential impact on productivity

Generative Artificial Intelligences are models that generate new data – such as text, images and videos – from the analysis of large volumes of existing data.

Between 2020 and 2023, funding in this sector grew almost 12 times, with a focus on base models – neural networks trained from massive databases. These models are capable of performing diverse tasks in different areas of knowledge – as is the case with ChatGPT and LLaMA (a model used by MetaAI, now available to some WhatsApp users in Brazil).

These models and the tools that make them possible already impact productivity and have the potential to optimize work in activities across various sectors.
