The aircraft production market: the case of Embraer
The aircraft manufacturing market is a highly competitive sector, dominated by major global players. Among the companies that stand out in this sector, Embraer, headquartered in Brazil, plays a very important role. Founded in 1969 as a state-owned company, Embraer is one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world, having undergone a privatization process and gone public on the stock exchange. The company has currently expanded its business verticals, serving the executive aviation market as well as the military. However, the Services/Support and Executive Aviation units were those that presented Embraer's best margins in 2024.
Combined with the increase in aircraft deliveries, this growth in the company resulted in positive coverage from investment banks, which generated a significant appreciation of its shares and placed it as one of the leaders of the Ibovespa.
