IPO windows directly impact the volume and number of initial share offerings in Brazil.
Analyzing the history from January 2004 to August 2023, we recorded 246 emissions (primary and secondary).
The years 2007 and 2021 represented the periods with the highest volume of offers and issuers (respectively, offers with an average ticket of R$ 0.9 BI and R$ 1.4 BI).
In 20 years on the market, it is noted that the 10 largest issuers represent 27% of the total nominal volume of offers.
To learn more about the subject, in 2022 we released the study “IPO in Practice: Lessons learned by entrepreneurs who went through the process”, carried out in partnership with Insper and B3. In the survey, 70% of the interviewees pointed out that being prepared in advance can be the turning point between the success or otherwise of the operation.
