Co-founder and Managing Partner of Ártica, Luiz Penno has more than 20 years of experience in M&A, Fundraising and Corporate Finance, with expertise in the Financial Services, Real Estate, Health and Oil and Gas sectors.
Previously, he was co-founder of Advisia Investimentos and Engagement Manager of the Corporate Finance Practice at McKinsey & Company, during which time he worked on transactions in Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Asia and Africa. He also worked in the M&A area at Banco Fator and as a consultant at Value Partners.
Luiz has a Master's degree in Finance and Economics with Distinction from the London School of Economics (LSE) and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas.
Érico has more than 15 years of experience in M&A, private equity and corporate finance, with expertise in the Agribusiness, Health, Technology, Energy and Infrastructure sectors.
Previously, he was a partner at Baraúna Investimentos, a private equity manager. He also worked at Pátria Investimentos, at BMPI (Barbosa Mello Participações e Investimentos), an investment company in the infrastructure sector in Brazil and at Olimpia Partners, an M&A boutique. Érico has a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Poli-USP (Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo).
Rafael joined Ártica in 2019, having buy side and sell side expertise in Education, Healthcare, Animal Health among other sectors. In addition, he had international experience at the Jordan Edmiston Group (JEGI) in projects in the media & technology areas. Rafael holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Poli-USP (Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo), and a postgraduate degree in Finance from Insper.
Eduardo Correa joined Ártica in 2023 and has more than 9 years of experience in Capital Markets, working in the structuring and execution of transactions for onshore/offshore Fundraising and in Relationships with Institutional Investors.
He has expertise in the Financial Services, Retail, Agribusiness and Real Estate sectors, as well as work in Corporate Finance, Treasury and ALM.
Previously, he was Vice President of Capital Markets and Treasury at Addi. He has also worked as Head of Capital Markets and Investor Relations at Creditas and in the DCM areas of RB Capital and ORIX Corporation (USA), as well as in Project Management at ETYO (France). Eduardo has a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Poli-USP (Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo) and a master's degree from ESTP (École Spéciale des Travaux Publics, du Bâtiment et de l'Industrie de Paris).
Bruno joined Ártica in 2022. He has experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate venture capital, business development, equity capital markets and post merger integration. He worked in the Investment Banking division of Banco Votorantim and Banco Santander, carrying out transactions in various sectors.
Subsequently, Bruno was M&A Manager at Dexco (Investida Itaúsa) being mainly responsible for the growth of the ceramic tiles division and entry into retail, via acquisitions, and for the creation of the CVC FIP of Companhia DX Ventures. Bruno has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Insper, with a specialization in finance from UCLA in Los Angeles in the United States.
Amanda joined Ártica in 2021 and has more than 9 years of experience in structured debt, corporate finance and financial restructuring. He has expertise in the agribusiness, infrastructure, consumer goods and real estate sectors.
Previously, she was a senior associate in the corporate finance team at Alvarez & Marsal Brasil, a financial consultancy. She was also an associate on the Octante Capital team. Amanda has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Mackenzie University.
Arthur Valentini joined Ártica in 2019. He has worked in M&A processes in technology, health, industries, and services. Arthur holds a degree in Economics from Unicamp (State University of Campinas).
Gabriel joined Ártica in 2021. He previously worked as an analyst at JK Capital. Gabriel holds a degree in Production Engineering from Poli-USP (Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo).
Gabriel joined Ártica in 2021 and has over 3 years of M&A experience, having worked in healthcare and distribution transactions. Previously, he was an associate in the private equity team at Pátria Investimentos. Gabriel holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the FGV School of Economics (Fundação Getúlio Vargas).
Jonathan joined Ártica in 2024 having previously worked in the Equity Capital Markets areas at Credit Suisse and Private Equity at Partners Group. He has a degree in aeronautical engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP) and a double degree in production engineering from École Centrale de Nantes.
Ricardo joined Ártica in 2023 and is a production engineering graduate from USP São Carlos, with a double degree from Instituto Superior Técnico de Lisboa (IST). Previously, he worked as an analysis intern at Suno Research and founded the Técnico Investment Club (IST Financial Market League).
Brendon joined Ártica in 2024 and is graduating in Computer Engineering from ITA (Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica). Previously, he interned in the areas of Growth Equity at Clave Capital and Equity Research at Miles Capital, working in the Metals & Mining and Pulp & Paper sectors.
Gabriel Laurentino joined Ártica in 2024 and is currently studying Civil Engineering at the University of São Paulo (USP). Previously, he worked as Project Coordinator at EESC Jr.
José Eduardo is graduating in Aerospace Engineering from ITA. Previously, he interned in Technology at BTG Pactual and in Asset Management at Banco Safra and Ártica Asset Management.
Matheus joined Ártica in 2023 and is graduating in Mechanical Engineering from Unicamp (State University of Campinas). Previously, he interned at Bradesco BBI, working on the IDCM (International Debt Capital Markets) team. He was a member of the Unicamp Financial Market Group, and runner-up in the Opportunity Challenge.
Pedro joined Ártica in 2024 and is currently studying Production Engineering at the Polytechnic School of USP, with a Double Degree from the Polytechnic Institute of Torino. Before that, he interned at Garde Asset Management, where he was part of the Middle Office team, and at Amazon Luxembourg, working as a business analyst.
Raquel joined Ártica in 2024 and is graduating in Business Administration from FGV EAESP (Fundação Getulio Vargas), with a degree in Business from Luiss Guido Carli, in Rome. Previously she served as Institutional Director at FGV CRYPTO, and was a co-founder of the FGV Logistics League.
